Hello Ladies! I know this is not language arts related but I was doing a lesson for my Science and Social Studies class and came across this very cool website that is both teacher and student friendly. It has a ton of cool activities and I thought I would share it with teachers and future teachers....check it out if you have the chance it is very fun! (Make sure your volume is working on your computer otherwise the link is no fun ;p )

WOW Anna!
Thanks so much for finding this amazing website it is a great resource for us as future teachers. There is so much on the website to explore, it's endlessly full of great ideas to check out and explore.
Thanks Anna
I found the site to be very helpful as well. I liked how the activities were for many different subjects.
I think that it is important to keep each other updated on the latest findings. If it something that you find helpful, it is more than likely that someone else will to. Thanks for the resource!
Did you use any of the activities in the lesson that you taught? I never taught a science or social studies lesson, i would be very interested in hearing how it went. What was it about? Did you like the outcome? Was it more difficult that Language arts?
Thank you so much for posting this website! You could not have had better timing!
Right now, we are working on a unit on sound. Last week, I did a lesson with the class about how the human ear works and we investigated the range of sound you can make with a vibrating ruler. My teacher recently asked me to think of a sound lesson related to musical instruments (he wants the students to make their own instruments). I have had some really great ideas, but this website would be an awesome way to open up the lesson or even to close with toward the end.
Thanks for sharing! I will certainly use this website in the next week or so with the class! This will be good experience as well because I will be able to practice with the Smart Board!
I am glad this website was helpful...I loved it!
